In Uttara Khanda of #Padma_Purāṇa, Bhagavān #Rudra said to Daitya #Hiraṇyakashipu:

वरं वृणीष्व दैतेय यत्ते मनसि वर्त्तते।

Thus, Bhagavān Brahmā as well as Bhagavān Śiva were capable of giving the boon.

if temples do everything what will governments do? already, temples pick up the slack for an incompetent govt, though their funds are swindled by the same. temples are supposed to be centres of culture, knowledge and religion - not turned into jan aushadhi stores.
