Finished Close Encounters of the Third Kind + I liked it a lot more. These movies are like bookends & I probably should have watch Encounters 1st.
Encounters is what an alien landing could be like from an adult perspective. E.T. is what it could be like from a kid perspective.

I'm watching E.T. for the 1st time and it's magical, but I was not ready for the strange opening and how slow and gangly the E.T.'s are.

The opening scene is soo much that when the kids' opening scene happens it doesn't feel like the same movie (praise). He calls his brother "penis breath" for making fun of him + his mom has to fight through a laugh to scold him.

Started watching this this week (it's a long movie) and it's actually one of the weirdest old movies I've ever seen. Professor Higgins is soo dastardly and Eliza, as played by Audrey Hepburn, is chaotic, dramatic, stubborn and naive. It's very entertaining.
