Upper mediastinal lymph node metastasis is most frequently found in papillary thyroid carcinoma. Common location for such LN metastasis are below the left brachiocephalic vein and along the recurrent laryngeal nerve. Thoracoscopic mediastinal LN dissection is safe and easy.
