Today's #oneplacestudy source is J.G. Harrod & Co's Directory from 1880.

For each place, it shows the nearest Money Order Office, Telegraph Office, Post Town and Railway Station (and distance), the Population, County and names of any Bankers.

It was invented in #Sussex and potentially an ancestor of cricket.

According to the #KingstonDeverill Head Teacher's Logs, in 1951, the school played a game of it with #MaidenBradley.
