A 'couple of years' late, but this looks like it could be interesting!

Where's the nearest...?
Today's #oneplacestudy source is J.G. Harrod & Co's Directory from 1880.
For each place, it shows the nearest Money Order Office, Telegraph Office, Post Town and Railway Station (and distance), the Population, County and names of any Bankers.
The boundaries in The Deverills have never been straightforward.
Also interesting to see the differences of spelling:
Deverill = Deverell
Brixton = Brinton
Monkton = Munkston

The 1948 horror film "House of Darkness" was filmed in #KingstonDeverill with the rectory becoming a haunted house, and local residents as extras.

@Springhill_OPS @OnePlaceStudies I'm sure there is an easier way than drawing out the polygons myself, but I figured that I should just start doing *something* and if a better option comes along later, I'll switch over to that.
