Iowans sent @Turek4Iowa to the state legislature to be their voice, but instead of doing his job, he skipped 250+ votes this year in the state legislature, including funding the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs (he was busy fundraising with a Schumer Super PAC during that vote!) and passing the Iowa Farm Bill.

That’s 250+ times that Turek put himself over Iowa families, farmers, and veterans.

The VA bill this Thursday needs serious changes. I will be signing the discharge petition to bring the Major Richard Star Act to the floor that will ensure it is voted on as a stand alone bill.

All our veterans who served should be fully eligible for disability pay and we should not be offsetting some disabilities to pay for others.

We need to find a way where all our veterans are fully taken care of.

If SAVE America is stripped out of ANY of the legislation @SpeakerJohnson has agreed to send to the Senate, the blame will fall solely on @LeaderJohnThune .

There’s a little thing in the Senate known as the “amendment tree.” It determines the maximum number of amendments that can be offered to any given bill. If Leader Thune deliberately “fills the tree,” he can block individual senators from offering additional amendments—such as one to keep SAVE America attached if it is stripped out.

Going based off his comments so far, Thune is planning to do this with the NDAA by offering his own version of the NDAA that does not include the SAVE America Act and “filling the tree.” He would probably plan to do the same with any other House-passed bills that include SAVE America.

Hard to hide behind other senators when he is actively working against an issue that 80% of Americans support.

In his Iowa Press interview appearance earlier today, Zach Lahn delivered a refreshing message on the rapid push for data centers across the state. Calling for a data center moratorium, Lahn explained how politicians from both parties have rushed to support these massive projects at very fast speeds, often under heavy influence of a powerful industry. “Large corporations (are) having far too much influence,” he warned, urging a pause to properly involve local communities and protect Iowa’s environment. His comments stood out as a clear defense of everyday Iowans against unchecked corporate power.

Lahn emphasized a county-level decision-making while drawing a firm line against taxpayer incentives for these companies. He praised recent developments where some firms are stepping up to pay their fair share. Lahn is trying to prove that he will challenge the status quo to put Iowa families first, which should serve as a high of relief to a race dominated by establishment voices.
