@robert_lyman Just today finished War of Empires - absolutely superb! What I thought most singular was the narrative was so good I could (mostly) hold the geography of extremely complicated battles without running back to the maps every time. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

@DrHelenFry have just this minute finished ‘The Walls have Ears’. What an exceptional book! Just when you think (as one of millions of middle aged men with interest and some knowledge of WW2) you ‘know things’ you get slammed with a whole array of new knowledge. Amazing book!

@theAliceRoberts @RebeccaRideal If it helps, read Ancestors, Buried & Crypt as they came out... and loved them! Bought first as an eBook and immediately grabbed a hard copy to share with friends. Dominion downloaded and waiting for me. Challenge and/or ignore the idiots, but never doubt you are a great author!

@simonmontefiore Firstly please stop with this, my“books yet to read list” just took a big hit! But also on a more serious note have a wonderful hardback copy of the unfinished last Aubrey/Maturin book where the text just runs out… very sad but glad I have it!
