Afina is just a baby. A tiny kitten who should be learning how to play, how to feel safe, and how to trust the world around her. Instead, she was found almost lifeless inside a bucket filled with thick black fuel oil - a bucket she was intentionally placed in so she could drown.

This little lady was surrendered about a week and a half ago. She’s almost 9 weeks old and the tiniest little lady. She is presenting very classically for hydrocephalus. She has right-sided anophthalmia (absent eye) and a bald little face.

Tonight broke me a little. I stopped at a mini market to get a drink and found this tiny kitten lying in the street — blind from infection, and I don’t think his eyes are salvageable. There is one more there in the same condition that run away.
