"It's autocomplete" is not a helpful analogy to understand LLMs. A LLM is more like a database that lets query information in natural language. You can query both knowledge, and "patterns" (associative programs seen in the training data, that can be applied to new inputs).

My 2 litmus tests for whether or not a stranger is a good person:

1: They put the shopping cart back where it belongs

2: They stand a few feet back from the airport baggage claim until they see their bag, instead of cutting in front and blocking people's view for no reason
