@DepSecDef Since 1778 every generation of my family has served in uniform voluntarily for this country. The credit that these women and men who stand guard over the rest of us deserve is immesurable.
248 years ago a bunch of us got spliflicated and decided monarchy was not going to be 'the done thing' anymore. Now we are affirming the path to a populist dictator with legal immunity. Guess that whole Rome analogy isn't so bad after all...
@marylandmatters Uh... what about Barbara Mikulski?
"Alsobrooks, who is Black, would be the first woman and the first Black elected to represent Maryland in the U.S. Senate if her campaign is successful this fall. "
@Teh_Snowflake This is as stupid as saying a "Law and Order" episode can't have a compelling closing statement for both the prosecution and the defense to make good drama. It's a play by a genius author, arguing both sides in a courtroom scene. He was a casual anti-semite like his peers...

On this Memorial Day, remember those who gave their lives that others might live in freedom and peace.
Minerva bi-annual meetings are the highlight of my year, I get to hear about all the wonderful projects my @DoDMinerva colleagues are working on & hang out with really cool people. This is the best part of my job #richdavis@DevinHayesEllis & eeta at @SERrestaurant
Twenty three years ago, Anthony Bourdain took Eric Ripert to eat for the first time at the French Laundry. Keller served him a tobacco-infused custard at hour 3 of the tasting when he figiured AB would have needed a smoke break. The Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost...
@UmActuallyShow not sure if you are still taking fan corrections... Great Redwall question on last dropped episode, but there was a second incorrect part of the statement. Um, actually, author's name is pronounced "Jakes" despite the spelling :)
Today my wife, wearing a Star of David and a sticker noting the days the hostages have been in Gaza, was treated with contempt in front of her friends by staff at the AC Bethesda. @Marriott all the human suffering is awful. Please tell your staff not to visibly pick sides.

@milaficent As you know I invented a donation based version of maternity leave for the Ed if the foundation I chair since she was an ineligible contract employee. So sue my bleeding heart...
@milaficent And maybe it makes me a softy, but I am essentially in the signatory not worker position in my work and I feel it's a moral imperative to take care of my people. I always go the extra mile to sign the raise, pay travel, cover incidentals.
@milaficent Oh, I apologize to the internet that my communist views that employees shouldn't have to wash their own uniforms have provoked such hilarity ๐
Sorry, but making close to minum wage employees wash their own mandatory uniforms is just straight up exploitation by the business to cut a cost. (Said your WASP husband )
Ok, my very WASPy husband is losing his damn mind that my jobs as a teen (waitress, cashier @ family grocery store) involved taking home my shirt and/or smock/apron and washing them...Is this actually odd or is he being ridiculous?!
