Take it for what it is, my guy in the front office hasn’t acknowledged my questions/notes about the proposed sites in IN. Has answered other stuff, etc
Hammond is being played to leverage IL to get off their ass to do something to keep the Bears in IL.
So when is the Press conference from the Bears to announce stadium in Hammond? How about stadium and site renderings that have never been released? Hmmm 🤔 it’s more likely they build in Chicago than Hammond/IN. AH still the LITC.
I really don’t understand this sentiment that Soldier is terrible to get to. It’s the easiest stadium to get in and out of in the city. I make 5 ~ 12 visits a year, you just have to know what you’re doing and it’s unbelievably simple
Mayor Brandon Johnson on the Soldier Field game day traffic: "Let me tell you how bad it is — Bears vs. Packers, I'm at the game, we're losing. I decide to leave to beat the traffic. Before I get out of the footprint, the Bears had come back to win."
I had a text conversation with an Illinois political reporter last night. His feeling is that there is just a slim chance that the Legislature will have a special summer session.
If that is the case, the chance of getting a deal done to keep the Bears in Illinois is slim to none.
This is all in the Legislature and not on the Bears regardless of how they try to slant the narrative
@BarstoolBigCat Leverage play. Don’t believe anything until a shovel is in the ground and then still don’t believe it until Arlington is sold. Arlington Park ruled and agree rebuild it
@slimernow@MrBigDoIt13@AdamSchefter Top 10 at what exactly? “When healthy” 2024 most games played at 15 ~ would consider 2 games missed as healthy. 29 catches for 620 yards 2 TDS. “When healthy”
ESPN sources: Green Bay WR Christian Watson and the Packers reached agreement today on a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension that includes a $31 million signing bonus.
2/2 a deal too good to pass up.
Chicago politicians poisoned the well bc they didn’t want Arlington Hts to get the Bears.
No deal now 5 years in.
If Bears were EVER serious about a possible move to Hammond, Ind., which borders Chicago, we’ll find out now.
IL deserves this.
