Families and members of the community gathered to honor and remember their martyrs one year after the church bombing.
On June 22, 2025, a terrorist attack struck the Greek Orthodox Mar Elias Church in the Dweila district of Damascus during the Divine Liturgy. A suicide bomber entered the church while hundreds of worshippers were gathered for prayer, opened fire, and then detonated an explosive vest inside the church.
The attack martyred 27 people and injured 63 others, making it one of the deadliest attacks against Christians in Syria in recent years.
One year later, the memory of the martyrs of Mar Elias Church remains alive in the hearts of Christians across Syria and around the world.
Today, we ask all of you to remember the martyrs, their families, and the Christians of Syria in your prayers.
@Broken_Imp@SquidMechanicus Honestly it always made sense to me imo considering that most of these guys were leading larger units, so I think the expertise is necessary
@mikeoxyuge01@SquidMechanicus Yeah they were both trained by Alpha-17 but Iโve always personally thought that Bly mightโve just issued his corps ARC level training to justify their fits
