If you were expecting more from the 49ers today, they've probably spoiled you with their own exceptional standard. Winning 13 games last season, or opening 6-0 this year, given their amount of injuries is not normal.

A loss was going to come. And so many signs pointed to this week. Which is why I predicted that. 6-1 is an exceptional platform from which the 49ers can attack their issues — most of which should be assuaged by returns from injury.

But they should be able to do more to improve beyond that, and that's a great spot to be in at the bye week
