@PeterSchiff Peter you keep repeating that but you sure must also concede that over reliance on foreign goods and services, as well as the offshoring of production capabilities and skills is a major concern, am I missing something?
@scientificecon Hi Richard, love your work on central banking.
Do you think that the US strategy to devalue currency and resume higher exports is thus flawed?
Should have let strong dollar and capitalize on cheap imports to innovate?
@dela3499 Well it does change the perspective of agency quite a bit, doesn’t it?
From an epistemological view, looking at the gene as the main individual actor or looking at relationships and networks of genes or various systems as being the ultimate object of analysis has impact, no?
@Sara_Imari Meaning governs the universe. It’s directionality and hierarchical nature are logical patterns and its content understandable and computable.
The economy is an evolutionary social meta-system in which agents cooperate to structure rules-based institutions to discover knowledge, and transform energy and matter into technologies that locally reduce entropy and expand societal agency.
@AdamFrank4@TheAtlantic The whole as an organized structure somehow manages to tap into that platonic space @drmichaellevin discusses in his work and get some free lunch. Could that free lunch be memory? Leading to self-awareness and creating greater cognitive cones.

@oren_cass I guess you're making (rightfully so) the distinction between inflation -the increase in money supply- and rises in prices which I guess do occur because of tariffs, right? Although the FED shouldn't act on that, fiscal policy should be adapted, no?
@TheMichaelEvery Seems like the EU is almost, consciously or inadvertently (which would be even more farcical) helping China + BRICS in getting the upper hand against the US while the US still (in)directly defends and helps the EU..
@TheMichaelEvery What do you think about the EU's positioning regarding tariffs with the US? Is the EU not well over its capacity to bargain and misses crucial points regarding geoeconomic realignment and the necessity to rebalance global trade and alliances in light of China's rise?
@Breedlove22 Although I do believe corrupt money to be central to the systemic problems of society I believe that the powers behind legal institutionalism, what forges the very foundations of human collective governance is yet even deeper than of monetary systems.
@steve_hanke Germans work smart & efficiently, which allow them to be productive and thus reduce their overall work time. I’m addition, it is quite common for a part of the population, mainly women with children, to have part time jobs.
@steve_hanke You keep on hammering about inflation being monetary. As much as I agree for many scenarios there are other types of events that cause price increase (inflation), such as decrease in supply of a good, given equal demand.
@0xASK Right, they definitely do push for a traditionally backed centralized monetary and financial global architecture.
Some central bankers do offer decent papers but I’ve had difficulties entering the real industry and private players’ insights
@0xASK I’m starting the Sovereign individual, I’ll check out The Ascent of Money.
Any opinion on academic papers coming from the Bank of International Settlements?
Thanks for the reply!
