We’re so honoured to have been acknowledged by @DevonLiveNews - although we still have a long way to go, we’re taking this #InternationalWomensDay to celebrate how far we’ve come!
Reports like these are vital in proving why diversity and anti-racist education must start in schools, and it’s why one of the key goals in our campaign is improving our curriculum to include BAME history, literature, and other role models https://t.co/g0Bn8a57OI
It’s very disappointing that 40 Conservative MPs have refused vital diversity and antiracism training. Situations like these are why we end up with a complete whitewash in Parliament: For example, not a single BAME MP was elected for Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland in 2019.
If you missed the chance to hear Sandra and Anoo discuss our campaign this morning on BBC Devon Live, take a listen here, starting at 1 hour and 37 minutes:

An Ottery girl says she's "turned a blind eye to ignorance hoping it would get better" as she's grown up black in Devon. Four students have launched a campaign called Diversity in Devon. @DCP_Diversity @KingsSchoolOSM @ClaireWrightInd #otterystmary https://t.co/deRhI0fIY0
@morriarty1 @ClaireWrightInd Members in our campaign group hold beliefs across the political specturm, but we’ve come together for a common goal because we understand that anti-racism isn’t a political stance, it’s a human rights stance!
@morriarty1 @ClaireWrightInd Hi! As a campaign we are not only keen to invite debate and discussion - our Facebook page is open for people to leave their thoughts - but we also firmly believe that supporting diversity and challenging racism isn’t an ‘opinion’, it is simply human decency.
