@bflemingauthor Absolutely Brian. Raise your voice; the recent maths paper is an attack on the learner identities, self-esteem, and motivation of our young country. They know not what harm they do…
@bflemingauthor I thought the same Brian. Ideally would have commenced about a decade ago. How would it be designed? The comments on Twitter seems to suggest that some of the graduates themselves don’t see a gain in the second year, but perhaps the broader picture would tell a more nuanced story
Young people have contacted me, they are very upset that this kind of false perception of them is being peddled by the Tánaiste and I think that’s the bit that upsets me the most. We need tolerance now more than ever #homeschooling#socialization

@AnneRabbitte That is terrible. Absolutely unacceptable. And we need to ask compassionately “why would a parent of a child with a disability or an individual with a disability be so upset at the Irish government that it would drive them to what is (clearly) a mental health breaking point?
Heartiest congratulations to @thegalwegian@RoryMcDaid@MTPteacher@ManuelaHeinz on the launch of their timely and valuable book ‘Diversifying the Teaching Profession’. Comhghairdeas ó chroí libh!
