This video is very short but is meant to express how the harp seals are in danger from climate change due to the melting of arctic sea ice, which they live and raise their pups on.

All of the photos from this post are taken by me during a rainy night at around 10:30 pm whilst these amphibians were crossing roads to get to their breeding/spawning pools. They were all moved off the road in the direction they were headed.
Amphibians are emerging from brumation! 🐸As they come out of hibernation, they're vulnerable to predators & being struck by vehicles. Help protect them by avoiding pesticide use, helping them cross roads, reporting your sightings to conservation groups. #AmphibianConservation 🌿
Protecting just 9 species, such as sea otters or gray wolves or genera, including whales, could lead to capture of 6.41 gigatons of CO₂ annually
Which is 95% of amount needed to be removed annually to ensure global warming remains below 1.5 C (2.7 F).https://t.co/JjVNkSCFo5
Only 10% of all large fish are left in global ocean
90% of all large fish including tuna, marlin, swordfish, sharks, cod and halibut are gone
5 million fish killed every minute
At current rate world's oceans will be emptied of fish by 2048

Deployment of #gillnet deterrent structures in the Zero Tolerance Area in the Gulf of California appears to have contributed to a reduction in gillnetting and an increase in the rate of #vaquita acoustic encounters. Positive news!
