Speaking at ImagiNXT 2026, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted the immense opportunities for Indian researchers to contribute to India’s rapidly growing innovation and research ecosystem.
India’s extraordinary diversity, with nearly 4,000 distinct communities, also offers unique possibilities for frontier research and international scientific collaboration in areas such as healthcare, biotechnology, sustainability, AI, and advanced technologies.

Charge d’Affaires Mr. R. Madhu Sudan visited “The Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum” at Fukushima that shows the destruction caused by the earthquake and tsunami of 2011. The museum team expressed deep appreciation for the assistance extended by India's NDRF team during the disaster.

Charge d’Affaires Mr. R. Madhu Sudan visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and met Mr. Ono Akira, Vice President of Tokyo Electric Power Co. Ltd. Mr. Ono and his team briefed the Cd’A on the ongoing decommissioning process of the plant, and both discussed potential areas of collaboration. The TEPCO team facilitated a tour of the facilities undergoing decommissioning and apprised the Cd’A of the current status while providing an overview of key facilities and processes. A team from the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), including its Deputy Director, Mr. Harish Kalsi, also accompanied the Cd’A during the visit.
