@IamBalhamMatt@uncledoomer didn't mean to be condescending in my initial post. just wanted to point out that America actually does a lot of things right, mostly because its such a diverse group of people. the world likes to demean Americans as being fat and ignorant, but thats such an outdated stereotype
@IamBalhamMatt@uncledoomer ive been to thailand a few times (thailand/laos/cambodia area) and pakistan many times. always am impressed with how good the food quality is in those countries. thai street food is exquisite. we dont get anything like that here, unfortunately
@IamBalhamMatt@uncledoomer definitely not for japan - their traditional dishes are much better there. american thai and pakistani food is very good, but not as good as thailand and pakistan.
its a nation of immigrants. its pretty much that simple
@IamBalhamMatt@uncledoomer Having been to a large portion of Europe and spending a few years in England (early 2000s), i can comfortably say that without any reservation.
@IamBalhamMatt@uncledoomer we do. i think its a harsh reality that europeans have a hard time to grasp. almost everything that you disparage americans for is typically done better here (minus healthcare).
@David_Kicinski@LiamVolos the science will converge to its current state eventually. thats because if you perform an experiment you will get reproducible results which describe fundamental truths about the universe.
so yes, science will reproduce itself exactly.
@TInyhunta back in the early 2000s, i was rated around 2100 in tournament/classical format. losing to someone that low on ELO rating doesnt happen unless that person is severely underrated and is climbing up to their true rating rapidly
