I think it is ok if there are reinterpretations, problem is the current writers are doubling down with the lorefication of every single change, with multiple glupshitto-pattern/workshop/subspecies(and now bio experiments) often cornering themselves with plot issues
Halo’s biggest problem, especially post-Bungie, is that it has no artistic vision. Each game is a radical departure from the last. There’s no “Halo aesthetic”. Everything from the Halos to guns to enemies to armour to Cortana to the ships – everything changes from game to game
@DTstat_ Id say the elite armor has a chromed look rather than iridescent, hence the strong cubemap. Halo 2 introduced specular and Halo 3 has settings for Albedo which allows for true iridescent like in the Banshee or Wraith which you didn't show here.
@neoteaika@why_xbox For Halo 1, It is sometimes concrete, sometimes metallic, it is really cool sometimes you cant really tell what it is; some materials have a faint cyan iridescent shine or yellow shine for bronze materials
@Slonk01 It really has third person anims on first person vibes, kinda how firstperson mods on old GTA games
I get the intention but the result is really wonky imo
I really like what I'm seeing out of Campaign Evolved, they're really going HARD in the last week. Clearly a buncha the devs there are super passionate about OG, right down to subtle minutia. In equal measures though, the remake feels incredibly ambivalent about aspects of OG.
People forget we are on the raytracing era, and that means art has to accommodate to that.
Just like 2010s was the HD era (who can cram more shit on screen)
And 90s with the polygon stuff.
Can't showcase the tech if everything is not being reflective.
Ya too polished and clean for an cutter area. Should be more worn and tarnished from being exposed to the elements for so long. The whole "anti-dirty electric current" lore just screams lazy. Weathering looks much better.
Tell your friends, tell your enemies, DECAMILLENNIUM

@TheIshikawaRin Your inability to consoom product was your error, and you rightly bear the blame; But the positive community was... Overzealous.
we know you are no larper.
This is the true face of larping
that new #Halo trailer sounds reminiscent of my own original independent motif I wrote intentionally in a different key from normal Halo (d dorian instead of e dorian) for my projects
The context of the music is also for "prequel/untold" content in a similar way too
???
