The Houthis continue to kidnap children just to send them to the front lines
You can see the mother and her son crying and begging while the Houthi militant loads his gun and threatens to shoot them if they do not stop crying
The crimes committed by the Houthis should not go unpunished
Saudi Arabia did not intervene, but rather provided assistance when requested by the legitimate Yemeni government. The correct question, along with its answer, is: "Why does Saudi Arabia defend Yemen?"

@S4M4L0V@restitutorII Occupying capitals by force of arms does not create legitimacy. Those who destroyed Yemen's resources and inflicted misery on its people can never be Yemen
To the wider international community, particularly those in the West who spent years portraying the Houthis as a “resistance movement”:
For over a decade, you exerted enormous pressure to halt a military campaign that was successfully pushing them back.
You lectured us on morality, and condemned the very measures necessary to confront this terrorist militia.
You alone dismissed repeated warnings about the threat they posed.
Your selective outrage and preaching came at the expense of confronting a very real danger.
Now, you are witnessing the consequences of your own hypocrisy and disastrous judgement.
The people cheering for the Houthis to “destroy” Saudi Arabia need to answer one question: who actually benefits?
The Houthis don’t represent Yemen. They hold roughly a third of the country, and plenty of Yemenis are fighting them, not with them. Cheering them on as some pan-Islamic liberation force erases their own record of violence against the Yemeni civilians who refuse to fall in line.
And the people calling for Gulf destruction conveniently forget who actually fought Israel. Saudi troops went into the 1948 war. Shaykh Faisal led the 1973 oil embargo, a real economic weapon against the West over this exact issue, decades before any of today’s keyboard revolutionaries were born. Saudi Arabia still refuses normalization without a Palestinian state attached. Qatar never normalized at all, and Israel has called them hostile for it. Most of the Gulf has not relations with Israle; Qatar paid Gaza’s civil servant salaries.
So what happens if Saudi Arabia actually collapses? Not Riyadh’s elite, the ordinary people, the millions of migrant workers across the Muslim world whose remittances depend on these economies functioning, the institutions and causes these states fund across the region as well as billions in humanitarian aid.
None of that gets better. It gets worse, and it gets filled by whoever’s left standing in the wreckage, exactly like Iraq, exactly like Syria, exactly like Yemen itself.
We live under a nation-state system. Every state puts its own interest first, that’s what a state is. Apparently, unless you’re willing to sacrifice your own population, infrastructure and economy in a suicidal war you cannot guarantee winning, against a nuclear-armed Israel backed by the West. you’re an Israeli ally.
The actual question was never “why won’t they martyr themselves fighting a nuclear-armed power with full Western backing.” It was always “what’s the honest calculation they’re making,” and the honest calculation includes funding, diplomacy, and refusing normalization, not suicide.
Destroying these states helps no Palestinian. It only helps whoever wants to watch the whole region burn.
@EddieDaAmerican@womaninthesun Saudi Arabia does not target Yemen or Yemenis; it stands with the legitimate government. The Houthis are not Yemen, and framing them as such is a false attempt to paint a militia as innocent

@S4M4L0V@restitutorII Saudi Arabia intervened at a legitimate request to protect Yemen from the Houthi coup, and your ridiculous comparison to Zionism is a blatant distortion of history and reality
The Houthis started the war by seizing Sanaa in September 2014. Saudi Arabia intervened in March 2015 strictly at the official request of Yemen’s legitimate government and under UN Security Council Resolution 2216.

Western policies have prolonged war crimes by preventing Yemen’s legitimate government from defeating the Houthi terrorists. Endless truces and forced dialogues only armed the militias to target innocents in Riyadh.
