@Yeenie_Mcbeenie I fully agree with the sentiment the tumblr post is making, but this argument doesn’t work at all in this particular case because the attractive woman they’re talking about in the post you’re quoting is a real woman. Completely inapplicable here
@starringshiv I think that being grounded suits Byakuya but it wouldn’t really suit Nagito. What makes Nagito so compelling is how unpredictable he is because it’s really difficult to understand how his mind works; they tied his ass up after the first chapter for this exact reason
@tarun26sept@smatta1701 yes, but people’s instinctual understanding of the question will dramatically change the results. and the perceived results drastically change how you should answer the question
@JimmyRu52630895@pmtines@HunterEKozak I fully reject the premise of “virtually zero chance” but I suppose that you are right that either choice could be seen as saving lives depending on how it’s framed
@pmtines@JimmyRu52630895@HunterEKozak That’s fair. What I take issue with more than anything is the “There’s a 0.00001 chance” claim. Obviously it’s exaggerated but even still, I don’t think red’s victory is nearly as certain as people seem to think it is. Not saying it wouldn’t happen, but I think it’d be close
@pmtines@JimmyRu52630895@HunterEKozak There seems to be a misconception that blue voters don’t understand that they will be completely safe if they choose red. This is not the case. It’s just easy to recognize that this is trivially the only way to prevent hundreds of millions of pointless deaths
@pmtines@JimmyRu52630895@HunterEKozak You could argue that blue voters are ignorantly putting their lives at risk and that it’s not your responsibility, but really, it is. You can’t seriously believe that everyone this ultimatum is posed to is going to choose red. You are choosing to let people die for your own sake
