Fascinating finds on our walk today! Thanks Ranger Rachel for teaching us about bluebirds and letting us safely see the baby birds! Walking the riverfront trail we found a giant acorn and a curious little opossum! It’s always fun to explore our park!
Snake Myth #1: Snakes are aggressive and will chase you! FALSE!!! Snakes are highly camouflaged and not aggressive. They view people as predators and will hide or flee. If you come across a snake, please be respectful and give it space. Photo by volunteer Christian Feldt.
Did you know - turtles dig a hole where it will lay its eggs. Turtle eggs are white and covered in leathery shell. They incubate for almost two months. When they hatch, the little turtles head to the pond or river to join their friends. Photo by Park Volunteer Christian Feldt.
