@Applesaurus_Rex While the writers chafed under the early season "no internal conflicts" rule, I think it did help to set a tone of professionalism & maturity. You know that when the crew does lock horns, it's not just jealousy or pride, but genuine concern for solving a problem.
@abigail_l222 Hot Coldman is the most direct example from the 3D games. Prior characters mostly had goofily direct codenames (your medical specialist is called "Paramedic"), but Hot Coldman was supposed to be that character's legal name.
@GiricSeal@gummyuy She doesn't laugh at his looks, though! She thinks it's funny that his alias is "Frog" because he's actually a prince. Iirc she even reflects on the fact that if he'd arrived earlier, she might've married him, even though he's unattractive.
@big__chung@psychicautomata She tells him it's human to be angry. Which makes her come across as kind of a psycho given he just confessed to massacring non-combatants, including children.
@jacobpking Plains Nation warriors who became sci Fi space knights is what old 40k was all about. There was a comic about a Librarian, Two Heads Talking, facing off against a Genestealer Cult on the home world, which was a wonderful mix of bleak and heroic.
@RoyalAceBeyond Nah, Blight coming back is good. They even left the door open for it in the cartoon. I would want him to keep his traditional design though/focus on him trying desperately to maintain his outward appearance.
@drmistercody Saying the PT was trash was a cheap laugh. The Simpsons had a whole episode where the joke was that George Lucas had lost his touch! The pop culture consensus was that those movies were kinda crappy. The revisionism only came about with the later seasons of the Clone Wars cartoon
@BeanSlushiee River came off as a very disturbed guy in my playthrough. I agree with everyone saying you needed another mission in between the romance starting, something more light hearted than the child kidnapping.
@Punished_Bladey Bruce is also pretty critical of Terry. The show portrays Bruce as a deeply flawed person, but doesn't bend over backwards to tell you how great Terry is compared to him. Their mutual respect is something that's slowly earned over time.
@zweiwalker89607 Ultimate aspirational Wife Guy. Chastity & celibacy aren't always the same, after all. Inspires others to be devoted to their romantic partners, models healthy relationship dynamics. Always acts like the ideal gentleman; maybe mildly oblivious to his hunkyness. Kinda Clark Kent.
@MrGoodOps And you still can have positive interactions with individual Batarians in ME3. Their government is pretty vile, but they're still individuals with free will.
@Mashamazzi__@_GAi92 He was kind of cheap/a price gouger, and knowingly sold very unhealthy food. He also cheated on his wife, but was completely guilt ridden and reconciled with her. So he's a flawed person, but still pretty decent compared to everyone else in Springfield.
@DrunkSuperman3 Prequel revisionism annoys me because a great chunk of the population seems unable to understand that you can *enjoy* something while acknowledging it's flawed, or even badly made.
@DanScneider69@AsleepTurnpike He likes the New Frontiersman, which is a magazine that features some pretty racist elements (the political cartoon, allusions to the KKK being justified). Racial prejudice never seems to be an explicit motive for his actions though.
@Apocaloptimist5 Always cracks me up that people forget the punchline to this scene, where a contractor walks in and explains how much of a role his politics play in his work. Those engineers knew they were working on a high value military target, and took the risk anyway!
