Ruby Dhalla

Was Running to be Canada's Next Prime Minister & Leader of the Liberal Party 🇨🇦
Democracy. & Results.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Thank you to my volunteers, supporters, donors and millions of Canadians who engaged in my campaign.

You have turned this into a movement of truth for democracy in our country.

I am full of gratitude. Thank you 🙏

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day.

Today we celebrate more than a country - we celebrate a nation built on courage, diversity, resilience, and the belief that anything is possible.

Canada’s greatest strength has always been the opportunities it creates for people from every background to dream boldly, work hard, and achieve what once seemed impossible.

I know this firsthand.

As a proud Canadian, I had the extraordinary honour of becoming one of the first women of Indian origin elected to the Parliament of Canada, and later, one of the first immigrant women in our nation’s history to run for Prime Minister of Canada.

My journey stands as a powerful testament to the promise of this nation — that in Canada, your future is not defined by your last name, but by your courage to rise, your determination to persevere, and your willingness to take risks & shatter glass ceilings.

Let us continue building a nation where future generations are empowered to lead, break barriers, and make history for the greatest country in the world 🌍

Proud to call Canada home.
Proud to continue serving, contributing, and helping build a future that reflects the dreams, sacrifices, and promise of every Canadian.

Happy Canada Day. 🇨🇦

@AirCanada workers deserve fair wages & deserve to be paid for duties performed when planes are not in the air.

While the strike is frustrating for travellers let's not forget it's our flight attendants that keep us safe in the skies. They deserve our support.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Tariffs & more Tariffs.
Who's getting hurt?

Canada, Canadians, Canadian workers, Canadian Businesses & our country's economy.

Canadian workers want RESULTS not speeches.
Canadian businesses want DEALS not discussions.

Do it the old fashion way. Pick up the phone & get the job done.

Actions speak louder than words.

CUMSA joint review is scheduled for July 1, 2026. Start negotiating simultaneously - NOW - before more Canadian workers & businesses suffer.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

So sad to see young kids - born & raised in Canada being taught hatred against humanity & other religions.
These are not Canadian values nor the teachings of Sikhism.

The slogans being chanted at protests against #India @MEAIndiaMEAIndia & @narendramodi as the PM of India are not reflective of the behaviour of Canadians & all Sikhs living in Canada 🇨🇦.

Some of the initiatives under PM Modi's leadership of opening up of Kartarpur Corridor, Hemkunt Sahib Ropeway, waiving GST on Langar items, & celebrating 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji have been greatly appreciated by the Sikh community globally.

Yes there should be accountability & Yes to free speech but a big NO to inciting violence, hatred & threats against others.

Canadian businesses need more partners not enemies & the world needs more peace ☮️ not hate.

[Vikramjit Singh MP @vikramsahney]

As International President of World Punjabi Organisation, I strongly condemn this act, it is deeply unfortunate when young, tender and innocent minds are fed with hate instead of hope.

Let us imbibe in our children the moral values emphasised by our Guru sahib and and that is ‘ Jb Tk Duniya Rahiye Nanak Kuch Suniye Kuch Kahiye’. Solution of all the issues is in dialogue .

Let’s also not forget Government of India's various decisions under PM Modi's leadership like opening up of Kartarpur Corridor, Hemkunt Sahib Ropeway, Setting up SITs for 1984 anti Sikh genocide Victims, Slashing of blacklisting and visa clearance for Overseas Sikhs who were wrongly barred, granting FCRA registration to Sri Darbar Sahbir enabling global Sangat to do Seva, waiving office GST on Langar items, celebrating 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and 400th of Guru Teg Bahadur ji at large scale are some positive and constructive gestures towards Sikh sentiments.

Canadian businesses, entrepreneurs & families were looking for the PM to make a deal with @realDonaldTrump vs accolades & flattery.

@G7 was an opportunity for an announcement but now the President left.

[Brian Lilley @brianlilley]

Mark Carney can't say enough nice things about Donald Trump and how great he is, just before Trump says he wants tariffs to stay on Canada and bad mouths a former PM.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

@mario4thenorth lol so true

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

The G7 is about to begin. The challenges are many from
tariffs to wars to taxes to security to the increased cost of living to the impact of technology, energy & security. Canada 🇨🇦 needs to partner & collaborate with global partnerships for the future success of our citizens, our economy & our country.
What issues do you think should be a priority for the G7 ?

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Tragic. Sad & Shocking. Prayers for all the families that have lost loved ones in the tragic Air India crash. To the family in Mississauga heartfelt condolences & to the sole survivor may God give you strength. Let us all pray and remember the fragility of life. A heartbreaking tragedy.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Hmmmm ... I think the $350,000 should be good to buy a do NOT disturb sign for PM @MarkJCarney.
Hopefully Canadians don't get shooed away 🤣🤣🤣

[Brian Lilley @brianlilley]

This is brutal for Melanie Joly.
She goes over to speak to PM Mark Carney and he waves her off with his hand.

https://t.co/NaOPNZunVL

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

I hope Prime Minister @MarkJCarney will also do the honourable & ethical thing & return the $350.000 dollars the liberal establishment has stolen of hardworking taxpayers that donated.
That will be the most honourable deed of the day.

[CTV Power Play @CTV_PowerPlay]

EXCLUSIVE: Prime Minister @MarkJCarney says his government will "change things at the federal level that need to be changed in order for projects to move forward."

@VassyKapelos: "Does that include C-69 or the emissions cap?"

Carney: "It could include both. Absolutely." #cdnpoli #ctvpp

Happy Mother's Day to the strongest & most incredible human I know. 🤗

Even after losing a son you remain grounded in God, faith & prayers. Full of positive energy, love & laughter.
You give all of us strength. 🩷

This gift is for you... Neil's speech he did at the last birthday he celebrated with you. 💙

While we can't see him he is always with you, protecting you & hugging you & wishing you a Happy Mother's Day. You were his Queen.

Thank you for teaching Neil & I about living life with humility, hard work & hope with the foundation of faith, family & friends.

You have encouraged me, stood by me & supported me in every dream, idea & risk I have taken. My biggest achievement in this lifetime was to be born as your daughter. 🩷

I love you. 🥰

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

What is the Government doing to assist & support Canadians in India during the missile strikes & escalating conflict - given the fact that there are no Canadian diplomats left in

Airports are closing, flights are being cancelled, people are stranded & our embassies are closed.

Who do Canadians call?
@melaniejoly @MarkJCarney

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Elbows up or Elbows down for the meeting with @realDonaldTrump & @MarkJCarney

[The White House @WhiteHouse]

President Donald J. Trump 🤝 Canadian Prime Minister @MarkJCarney. 🇺🇸🇨🇦

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Canada's Prime Minister needs to stand up for Canadians , for our economy & our country.

A velvet glove and iron fist approach to negotiate a winning deal with @realDonaldTrump

[Marc Nixon @MarcNixon24]

Lutnick just called Canada a socialist country feeding off the U.S.
Says we’re ripping them off — and he can’t wait for today’s meeting.

Is Mark Carney about to get Zelenskyy’ed by Trump?

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

We are all still scratching our heads wondering how did we re-elect Trudeau 2.0 🙈

The only thing missing from the picture is the piggy bank that had the 350,000 kept by the establishment of the @liberal_party on the rigged leadership race. @ScrumNews

Will be interesting to do a comparison of the names in PMO to see how much change @MarkJCarney will actually bring to the PMO & to governing.

Interesting times...

[The Daily Scrum News - TDS News Inc. @ScrumNews]

The Peoples Prime Minister https://t.co/wG1hBznjJ1 via @ScrumNews The Liberals disqualified the real Prime Minister that Canadians wanted @DhallaRuby , and even stole $350,000 from hardworking taxpayers to fill their piggy banks for the election.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

If you're a woman, a Canadian from a multicultural community, a young Canadian &/or a hardworking taxpayer just remember what the liberal establishment did to me .. @DhallaRuby & all my supporters across Canada.

We set out to make history with progressive policy ideas that were the need of the hour for our country instead the @liberal_party wanted the same old - Trudeau 2.0.
A rigged leadership race with 350,000 stolen & the same team as Trudeau for the past 10 years - can YOU really trust @liberal_party with 4 more years?

Read that again. Then make sure you make the right choice for change tomorrow.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Proof yet again that the Liberal Leadership race was rigged & a set up.

The establishment knew all along @MarkJCarney was going to be coronated.

They just wanted to get money for their Liberal coffers from hardworking Canadians - so they kept the entry fee at $350,000.

Still waiting for its return.

It's clear. What you see is not what you get with @MarkJCarney
Taxpayers deserve better.

[David Jacobs @DrJacobsRad]

The narrative that Carney is an 'outsider' and a change from Trudeau completely fell apart today.

The CBC just revealed that Carney's platform was written by Trudeau's team well before Carney became Liberal leader.

Canada is being hoodwinked once again.

His Holiness Pope Francis dedicated his life to the Lord & to the Church. Hours before he passed he gave the traditional Urbi et Orbi benediction ~ wishing Catholics a 'Happy Easter' & calling for an end to conflicts around the world.

My heartfelt condolences to the Catholic community on the loss of Pope Francis who was loved, respected & a beacon of hope for millions.

May his last teachings at the Vatican be remembered.
You were an inspiration.
RIP Pope Francis.

[Ruby Dhalla @DhallaRuby]

Good Friday... Blessings for peace, kindness, unity, & compassion as we reflect on the sacrifices of Jesus Christ. Prayers 🙏
