This morning, as we got to Palmgrove bus stop, while inside my normal danfo, a rough looking guy wearing a dirty suit on a dirty jean short approached our driver and conductor to beg for money. His words were “Oga mi e jor, mo sese de lati Kirikiri ni. E je kin ri nkan lowo yin”

Our driver quickly replied “se emi ni mo ran e lo sewon ni?”.

Conductor too interjected “sebi ole lo ja ti won fi ran e lo sewon. Koshi danu jare. Onipanu Fadeyi Ojuelegba Costain Orile 🗣️” He continued calling passengers.

Driver then told the guy in Yoruba “why did you leave prison where you were eating free food? You didn’t know we are suffering outside abi”. 🙆‍♀️

The man beside me replied “maybe he stole inside prison, so they sent him out” 😭😭

A passenger then called out to him to come and collect 100 Naira. He replied “Haa Iya mi, eleyi kere, e jor e ba mi fi kun”

That was the moment I realized he was actually a thief as the conductor said earlier.
