Many of the key witnesses are criminals, because if they weren’t they wouldn’t have been in a position to witness the criminal activity. You cut deals with the low level criminals to testify against the top bosses.

@Lapo13 @VeldeRoeland @SallyMayweather I’m saying the conduct of government, not civilians, is regulated by the Constitution. Plain view is an exception to the protections provided by the 4th Amendment. It only applies to agents of the government. It has nothing to do with who has more rights.

Plain view is directly related to the 4th Amendment of the Constitution, the document that restricts the government and its agents from trampling your rights. It doesn’t define appropriate behavior of private individuals.
