Tukaram Omble, the Mumbai Police Assistant Sub-Inspector who was k*lled during the 26/11 terror attacks. Tukaram Omble, unarmed, caught hold of Ajmal Kasab in a vice like grip sustaining several bullets from Kasabs AK47 rifle but he held on to Kasab even though his body became riddled with bullets.

Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan
Major Sandeep lost his life while battling the Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai in 2008. Judging that the terrorists had an advantage over the commandos, he single handedly climbed the stairs, sustaining bullet injuries. His last words to his team, "Dont come up, I'll handle them."

Thomas Varghese, a senior waiter at Taj's Wasabi restaurant, emerged as a real hero of the 26/11 attacks. Ensuring that everyone in the restaurant had left first, Varghese was the last to leave the restaurant. Terrorists shot him dead in the alley.
