The county of Garissa played host to a significant gathering of ODM delegates who assembled in large numbers to reaffirm the founding principles upon which our Party Leader built this movement: unity, justice, inclusion and an unwavering dedication to service of the people.

I was honoured to join our Deputy Party Leader H.E. Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, Party Chairperson, H.E. Governor Gladys Wanga, Organizing Secretary, H.E. Governor Ahmed Abdullahi, our host, H.E. Governor Nathif Jama, Secretary General, Catherine Omanyo, the Party's Senators and Members of Parliament led by the Minority Leader and Director of Elections, Hon. Junet Mohamed as well as our Woman Representative candidate Hon. Umulkheir Harun, in a firm and collective declaration that the ideals Baba stood for will continue to guide our Party's path forward.

Of particular significance was the presence of Raila Odinga Junior whose attendance served as a powerful reminder that ODM remains a home to all who believe in its founding vision.

As a Party, we are resolved to honour Baba's legacy not merely in words but through deliberate action.

We shall remain united, stand together through the challenges ahead and see this journey through to the end for the sake of our members and for the people of Kenya who continue to place their trust in us.
