Somalia's national armed forces staged an impressive military parade through the streets of Mogadishu on 1 July, with different branches of the Somali armed forces and their combat vehicles taking part in the Independence and Unification Day celebrations in a display that drew widespread admiration.
The parade brought together army infantry, special forces, the air force, and the navy marching in formation through the capital, a unified show of strength on one of Somalia's most significant national days.
