A MOTHER · A SHIELD · A SOUL UNBROKEN

She held him
until the very last breath.

I cannot take my mind off that photograph.
Devastating, yet courageous.
Mind-numbing, yet fiercely brave.
Bloody heart-wrenching, yet all she could give.

A mother in Jabalpur, water rising, world collapsing, pulled her child tight to her chest and chose to face it together.

No power, no escape. Just arms. Just a heartbeat. Just a mother doing what mothers have always done, shield her child from the cruelty of the world, even when the world offers no way out.

There is no bravery louder than silence in those arms.

You will not be forgotten!
Your courage will inspire us all!
I salute you! I bow in respect. I fold my hands asking for peace.

Forgive us that we couldn’t help you in time.

We failed as a humanity.

Couldn’t take my eyes off it.

No roads. No railheads. No helicopters.

Just the abode of Lord Shiva, cradled by the Himalayas

Back then, the yatra demanded time, endurance, & faith. The journey wasn’t incidental; it WAS the pilgrimage.

Today, access is easier. And that’s a good thing because it opens the experience to many more.

But perhaps something still needs preserving?

The ability to slow down & savour the experience of traveling.

Because journeys are about who we become along the way.

@SushantBSinha पंचकुला में भी यही प्रॉब्लम है। 12 मार्च को बुकिंग करवाई थी जो पिछली डिलीवरी डेट के 25 दिनों के बाद तो एक्सेप्ट की गई और अब कह रहे हैं 10-12 दिनों के बाद आयेगा और जब आयेगा तो उसके बाद फिर 25 दिन वेट करना है। लेकिन हर जगह सुन ने में प्रॉब्लम नहीं है आ रहा है। #bpcl
