From #Gaza, the cries of parents rise to heaven ever more intensely as they clutch the lifeless bodies of their children, searching for food and shelter from bombs. I renew my appeal to leaders: cease fire, release all hostages, and fully respect international humanitarian law!
Allan Troy Rogando Sassot, this is the last time I will engage with someone like you, who spreads fake news. I do not participate in gutter-level conversations. Don’t pretend that your academic credentials can cover up your lies, or that the bits of information you’ve gathered about my life are accurate simply because you heard them from others.
That is what you are good at. You excel at claiming the truth based on rumors, fanning them into larger falsehoods, and then gaslighting those who challenge you. You have a talent for misleading people through lies, misinformation, and slander.
I do not claim to be an expert in international law, nor do I feel the need to showcase my academic credentials to you. What truly concerns me is the significant increase of awareness among the Filipino people about our ongoing struggle in the West Philippine Sea. If I were truly as slow, dumb, and uninformed as you suggest, I would not have been able to contribute to such impact or provoke the anger of pro-China trolls like you.
Ultimately, I’m indifferent to whether you consider yourself the smartest person in the world or if you believe you surpass me intellectually. Academic freedom should never be a justification for deception, misinformation, or the dissemination of falsehoods.
However, you might not grasp this, given that you are pursuing a PhD in a country devoid of true academic freedom—one where scholars must adhere to “Xi Jinping thought” or face censorship, or even worse, imprisonment.
But if you truly believe in your narrative as truthful rather than misinformation, then I urge you to leave China and return to Manila to participate in the TriCom Hearing at @HouseofRepsPH.
Economics is the art and science of resource allocation. We hope the government officials who make and approve the budget listen to economists. Economics serves the people.
Thank you to Philippine Economic Society for recommending the best and highest use of our scarce resources, and making a stand on behalf of the greater majority of our people.
RISA URGES FIRST-TIME VOTERS TO STAY ENGAGED IN 2025 MIDTERM ELECTIONS
Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros appealed to first-time voters and those who were mobilized during the 2022 campaign to stay engaged in the upcoming 2025 mid-term elections.
In an interview with Rolling Stone Philippines, Hontiveros encouraged Filipinos to use their values and worldviews when selecting candidates, parties, and platforms that align with their ideals for governance.
"Please continue to use your values, your own worldview, to select. And please do select. Please stay engaged [on] which candidates, parties, platforms of governance, and track records you want to see representing our government," she said.
Hontiveros also gave a personal endorsement for former Senators Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino for the Senate.
"Please vote for Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino for the Senate!" she whispered.
She further urged those who may be hesitant to vote to reconsider, emphasizing that the country belongs to all Filipinos.
"Our enemies want us to just give up, to cede the country to them. But it's our country, too. So we have to fight," she said, warning against the dangers of a third consecutive administration that may not represent the best interests of the Filipino people.
Looking ahead, Hontiveros highlighted the significance of the 2025 elections as a step toward building a progressive administration that could institutionalize long-term reforms.
"Starting next year, which is a mid-term — but is a preparation for the general elections in 2028 — I really plead that, together, we can build a progressive administration after this one. Not just one, not even just two. Maybe three? So, for 18 years, two decades, one generation," she said. "With them, we can institutionalize reforms. We can internalize the cultural changes [on] democracy and everything else."
Hontiveros ended her appeal by reiterating the importance of voter participation: "So, please do vote. Please don’t disengage because we need you."

Sen. Sonny Trillanes' revelations on the Duterte family's remittances from suspected drug lord Sammy Uy show who is really in bed with drug lords. Ilang taon tayong pinaniwala na galit sila sa drugs. Yun pala galit lang sila sa kakumpitensya sa pagbenta ng droga.
Former president Rodrigo Duterte falsely claimed that the account is held jointly with his wife.
The joint bank account in question is with his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte.

If Donald Trump is elected, the struggle against climate change is over. The United States will withdraw from the movement toward sustainable energy.
What kind of planet will we be leaving to our kids and future generations?
That’s what’s on ballot this November.
This went viral within minutes of its release. Why? It’s in the multitude of feelings it evokes.
A gazilion folks love this image of a private citizen, unmindful of the risks that come with wading in floodwaters, mobilizing people & providing essentials to help the most needy.
