@mrdanwalker
You like many reporters ignore the fact that present at these demonstrations are the affected, those supporting with the affected, and those who just want anarchy! Classic. "It was a black guy" trope!

[DialaBredrin @DialaBredrin]

@mrdanwalker Your current narrative on the pulling down of the statue in Bristol is embarrassing. All I hear is that BLM tore down a statue. What I saw was a group of white people pulling down a statue!👀

@LDNOverground @MissPagnello Announcements! There were two announcements over the tannoy system. The driver tried to give info as he attempted to reset the alarms which passengers kept pressing. Communication was poor, before, during and after evacuation. No assistance with buses or water after evacuation!

@BlkHistStudies There was a stage when WE were not allowed to read and write. Now many of us choose not to! Emancipate yourself from mental slavery. #GarveyLives #GetGarvey

[DialaBredrin @DialaBredrin]

@BlkHistStudies Carry with you a small pocket dictionary and study words whilst waiting or travelling, or a book on a particular subject. Read through books separate and distinct from your newspapers. There will be a great difference between you and the person who has not read one book.

[DialaBredrin @DialaBredrin]

@BlkHistStudies If you are going on a journey for an hour carry something with you to read until you have reached the place. If you are sitting down waiting for somebody, have something in your pocket to read. Dont waste time. Any time you think you have to waste, put it in reading something.

[BlackHistoryStudies @BlkHistStudies]

Don't be afraid to grow, end bad habits, leave dead end jobs, cut off unhealthy relationships and toxic friendships. Take initiative. #wednesdaywisdom

Just a little something from 1934. A bike race in Kingston, Jamaica!

Feeling inspired? We were too!

@PetiteCyclis @honestlyAbroad There are some who arrived from the Caribbean after 1972, or born after 1982 who have a similar view towards those who were "I'm alright Jack!"

[DialaBredrin @DialaBredrin]

@PetiteCyclis @honestlyAbroad That's the point he's making! Back in the day there was an us and them attitude (by design). Back then we thought our shit was mud!

Props to #AndyMurray for schooling John Inverdale. Maybe @BBCSport will share the Althea documentary with us soon!

@RFTW_UK @WritersofColour Amazing how many educated people are not educated about themselves. We need to seek rather than be led!
