This little note I share today as a reminder of how much of a impact leaders around us can have over a lifetime. A kind and caring adult seen from a child’s perspective lives on in my spirit today, as well as in this little note on brown construction paper.

Some folks may think I’m a bit of a pack rat. I’ve kept a number of random notes, art projects and written pieces filled with spelling mistakes from my childhood. In a recent discovery of an envelope tucked away, I found this piece from what I guess would be from 2nd grade.

He was there for most of my elementary school years, and I recently ran into him at a local restaurant. He still remembered me and was just as smiley 35 years after this note was written. Still such a lovely and gentle man.
