I mean

Retirement accounts are meant to give you annual expense coverage (and then some if you do it right) so you don’t have to work til you die

I’m in favor of getting rid of the concept of retirement though, especially since ai and robotics advancement will inevitably shift the concept of having a workforce at all

We shouldn’t look forward to the end of wage slaving to feel like we have an abundant life just to croak 15 years later
