@ErichThilow@popalorena@WTA You're conflating a player/team error with a refereeing error. They're not the same. Imagine a ground ball cruising past two infielders being called an out because that's what one of the umps decided it should be called.
I also think it's fascinating/infuriating that I can stay in a place of which I had no prejudice but it's entirely acceptable to be told to my face how terrible my hometown is without any actual references.
One of my non-favorite things when traveling and telling people where we're from:
1. "Oh, you're from Chiraq."
2. "I heard the riots were terrible."
3. "No, I've never been to Chicago."
I've realized one of my pet peeves, esp now that social situations are more frequent, is anyone who is compelled to dominate a conversation and, as a bonus, has zero interest in your response or related experience.
Yesterday on my walk to pick up my bougie gelato order I walked past a guy slashing all four tires on an abandoned-looking Toyota 4runner.
If that entire visual doesn't scream #logansquare living I'm not sure what does.
New year, new word game, new distraction.

@rennaestubbs absolutely loving your surgical dissection of mixed dubs. It's so helpful for mere mortals like me. I wish more analysts would call doubles like you do. #Wimbledon
Continually entertained/annoyed/confused when, after sending a two-sentence email, I'll receive a reply that refers to me as Diane.
1. There's not a single "e" in my name.
2. That email was shorter than this tweet.
