امتداداً لرؤية القيادة الرشيدة التي جعلت من العمل الدولي المشترك ركيزةً لمواجهة التحديات العابرة للحدود، واصلت دولة الإمارات جهودها العالمية لحماية البيئة عبر المبادرة الدولية لإنفاذ القانون من أجل المناخ (I2LEC) التي أطلقتها بالشراكة مع مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة (UNODC) عام 2023.
واستجابةً للحاجة الدولية المتنامية إلى تنسيق جهود أجهزة إنفاذ القانون في مواجهة الجرائم البيئية، قادت الإمارات عملية "الدرع الأخضر 2026" التي انطلقت في يوليو بالتعاون مع كولومبيا والإكوادور وبيرو وبوليفيا والبرازيل، ضمن واحدة من أكبر العمليات الأمنية المنسقة لمكافحة الجرائم البيئية في حوض الأمازون.
أسفرت العملية خلال 17 يوماً عن تنفيذ 1045 عملية ميدانية وتوقيف 839 متهماً ومصادرة مواد ومعدات وموجودات مرتبطة بالجرائم البيئية تجاوزت قيمتها 280 مليون دولار، في إنجازٍ يؤكد قدرة الإمارات على تحويل الشراكات الدولية إلى عمليات نوعية ذات أثر فاعل ملموس، وبناء نموذجٍ عالمي أكثر فاعلية في مواجهة الجرائم البيئية العابرة للحدود.

O desastre do Challenger visto de um helicóptero. Em 28 de janeiro de 1986, um helicóptero registrou de um ângulo “privilegiado” os 73 segundos finais do ônibus espacial Challenger, que levava sete tripulantes, entre eles Christa McAuliffe, a primeira professora escolhida para viajar ao espaço.
