This is an absolute dream come true. Major thank yous to my amazingly patient and supportive advisor @afohner and my entire mentorship team. I’m super super excited to spend the next 6 years (at least!) exploring how G&E risk factors shape biological mechanisms of AD 🧠
So sad to hear the news about the passing of @uwsph faculty Deb Bowen this week. She was one of my first queer teachers and mentors in public health @UW_Dept_HSPop. A rigorous behavioral scientist, active in @BehavioralMed, and always looked out for me. Miss you, Deb.
Science shouldn't be intimidating. Making research accessible and understandable to non-experts is really important to me, and I am grateful to have mentors who are supportive of time spent on outreach and #scicomm!
