Pay close attention to the foolish clowns on Twitter who are about to start claiming that the protests in Kyiv are happening because “the people want Ukraine to surrender to Russia” or some other absurd nonsense.
The people of Ukraine are out on the streets right now to oppose the dismissal of a popular and effective Minister of Defense, a reformer who has been fighting corruption and inefficiency in the country’s wartime defense establishment.
Anyone trying to pass black off as white is treating you like an idiot. They are lying to you, plain and simple.
Everyone who obediently votes today in the Verkhovna Rada for the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov as minister of defense will get a stain on their foreheads that we in Ukraine’s civil society will remember very well.
Firing Mykhailo Fedorov was a big mistake.
During his time as Defense Minister, Ukraine started to regain momentum on the battlefield. He delivered real results, and his team modernized key parts of Ukraine's military and even managed to cut Russian forces in occupied territories off from Starlink, disrupting their operations.
The decision to remove @FedorovMykhailo as Defence Minister is difficult to describe politely.
For once, Ukraine had a defence minister whose reforms were visibly moving in the direction the military had been asking for years and a real attempt to make soldiers’ voices reach the top.
You do not remove that kind of momentum in the middle of a war unless you have an exceptionally good reason. So far, I do not see one.
This looks like a textbook self-inflicted wound: unpopular with the public, badly understood by the military, and damaging to changes that were just starting to move in the right direction.
It takes real talent to make a decision this senseless.
Fedorov is respected by regular soldiers and they think he needs more time to clean up the army which is dysfunctional in many ways westerners don't even know about.
Sacking him would be a huge blow to the morale of the average Ukrainian soldier.
And it will be catastrophic for recruitment because everyone in Ukraine has a friend or family member fighting on the front.
Great news for Ukrainian defense tech: signed agreements with EU Commissioner @KubiliusA for access to EU defense programs and €300M in funding.
Through the new BraveTech EU Ukraine Support Instrument, our companies can access €260M to scale up production and €35.3M for innovation grants—covering up to 100% of costs.
This is a true win-win. We are combining EU resources with our battlefield-tested tech to build a safer Europe. Thank you, Andrius Kubilius and the EU team 🇺🇦🇪🇺
For the first time, Ukraine is developing its own ballistic missiles and deep-strike capabilities. These are not merely systems under development, but real capabilities that are already operational and reaching distances that were previously unattainable.
2,884 kilometers. That is the distance from here to the Omsk oil refinery. A historic range. Historic precision. And unlike Russia, which wages war against residential buildings, schools, and churches, Ukraine strikes the “sponsors” of Putin’s war and the tools that help him kill.
Some say that, with modern technology, we are sending Russia back to the Middle Ages. Others recall Napoleon and the days when Moscow was ablaze. But for Ukraine, it is not grand rhetoric that matters – it is the result. Our ultimate goal is not Russia without gasoline, but Ukraine without Russia. Ukraine without war. Ukraine with Europe. And Ukraine and Europe without the threat from Moscow.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days.
ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
