Most of these items have either retained their price or seen drastic reduction in the course of a year.
For economy that witnessed hyper-inflation where a price in the morning could see over 100% increment in the afternoon, this is no mean an achievement.
In a space of 72 hours, a gallon of oil skyrocketed from Β’200 to over Β’1,200, at a point surpassing the price of a bag of cocoa. Unprecedented, striking and dumbfounding.
It was that economy that the RESET AGENDA is overcoming. Congratulations to President Mahama and Vice President Naana Jane on their first anniversary in office.

Good morning everyone
A few days later, we are still basking in the sunshine.
President JD Mahamaβs speech at #UNGA80 resonated with everyone who listened and watched his presentation.
He touched a nerve when he declared, with clarity and conviction, that after 80 long years, Africa deserved its rightful seat on the Security Council. He gave voice, soto voce to what so many have observed , yet so few have dared to say with such force.
He did not shy away from the worldβs failings either. He lamented the lukewarm response to the Palestinian crisis, urging the United Nations to rise to the occasion and be truly proactive. Then, seamlessly, he turned to the future β reminding the world that the future is Africa. Why? Because of the unstoppable force of our young people, a vibrant talent pool that is not just growing, but thriving.
His message which was replete with historical references, enriched by his own vision was profound. It struck a chord, not only with those seated in the Hall, but across the globe, resonating far beyond the walls of New York.
We must pause and appreciate leaders who dare to speak our truths and who carry our voices onto the world stage. President Mahama did exactly that!
And today, I join countless others who watched with pride as he transformed the UN into what he rightly called the proverbial town square, a place where leaders gather to speak candidly, without fear or favour, about the issues that shape our collective destiny.
For me, the content, context, the cadence, the conviction and tone, were my takeaways for Communication 101. This is how a leader should stand, connect and command attention on the world stage.

It was an honour to deliver the keynote at the AOW: Investing in African Energy 2025 Diversity & Inclusion Forum.
I reminded Everyone that Africaβs energy future must be built on good governance, integrity, and above all, inclusion.
The truth is simple: Equity is not a favour, it is a strategy. When women lead whether in boardrooms, in the energy sector, and as the first female Vice President, the difference is undeniable. Our societies are stronger, our decisions are fairer, and our future is brighter.
The rich panel discussions that followed underscored this truth. From showcasing women who are reshaping the energy sector, to exploring how mentorship, capital, and collaboration can unlock transformation, one message stood tall: inclusion is non-negotiable.
Thatβs why I was proud to celebrate two milestones at the forum:
The 2025 AOW Top 50 Power List of Pan-African Female Leaders in Energy
The launch of the Lean In West Africa Leaders in Equity & Sustainability Network
The time for polite conversations has passed. The time for bold action is now.

Happy to share that the Landfills 2 Landmarks Foundation has been officially accepted and listed on the United Nations Civil Society (eSango) System under UN DESA.
This milestone strengthens our international credibility and gives us a platform to engage more directly in global conversations on sustainability, climate action, and the circular economy.
As Chair, I am deeply proud of this recognition and excited about the new opportunities it creates for collaboration and advocacy.
The journey continues!

βAfricaβs time is now. No more dreaming. No more lagging. Letβs grab the bull by the horn.
With a projected $3.4T market & over 1.4B people, let us take bold, intentional action to unlock Africaβs potential." - JD #ABF2025#ResetAgenda
Let me state this once and without any fear of contradiction,or equivocation that nobody has traveled via private jet to Japan or to Singapore please.
If this propaganda is anything to go by, then our democracy is doomed. Matters of presidential travels are matters of public interest and so can very easily be checked without generating unnecessary drama.
Ps/
For the friends checking on me, it has been very difficult for me these last couple of days, but it is well.
In quiet tribute we lay these flowers, not just for lives lost, but for the love, duty, and sacrifice they leave behind.
Ghana mourns, and remembers..π
On behalf of my family and the Obidients family, I want to deeply extend my condolences to His Excellency, President John Mahama, and the great People of Ghana over the tragic loss of Honourable Minister Edward Boamah, Honourable Minister Ibrahim Mohammed and other public officials in the unfortunate helicopter crash today.
This is a painful moment not just for Ghana but for all of us across the region who stand in solidarity with you.
To the families of the bereaved, the people of Ghana, and the members of the Armed Forces, please accept my deepest sympathy and solidarity.
May God comfort the families and the entire nation in this time of sorrow, and may the departed rest in perfect peace, Amen. -PO
Ghana Launches Ocean Centre to Facilitate Maritime Safety and Sustainability
On Thursday, July 31st, I had the honour of chairing the official launch of the Ocean Centres in Ghana convened by the UN Global Compact Network at the Africa Regent Hotel in Accra, this event brought together leaders from government, finance, academia, the maritime and environmental sectors to forge collaborative solutions across key ocean-based sectors including shipping and ports, fisheries and aquaculture, offshore renewables, and blue finance.
Ghana joins six other countries under the global Ocean Centres initiative, led by Dr Kofi Mbiah sponsored by Lloydβs Register Foundation, to tackle pressing regional ocean safety and sustainability challenges.
This was momentous step in our national action toward a safer and more sustainable blue economy. Four strategic ministries were represented, the Minister for Environment, Hon Murtala Mohammed, Fisheries and Aquaculture Minister, Hon Emilia Arthur, and a representative of the Ministry of Energy and Green Transitions.
