@AnnaChisholm19 Great story, Anna. Thank you. I'm convinced there is more to this story than just red tape. Parks Victoria - or some person/department within it and/or the Vic government - doesn't want the Chalet to operate. It's costly to renovate and reopen, but doable.

@catmac1 Great picture. Thanks for sharing. This is on Huoshan Rd just down from Ocean hotel (远洋宾馆)? There is an old dance hall next to it too, if I recall? Hopefully it is just a renovation. That neighborhood has tons of Jewish historical sites, not least of all the refugees museum.
