What Australian journalists won't tell you. "In 2024, nuclear reactors globally produced a record 2,667 TWh of electricity." Australia's entire annual electricity consumption is around 250 (TWh) - less than a tenth of the total electricity being generated by nuclear in the world.
Here is a link to my interview with Chris Kenny on Sky News last night calling on the Greens to support nuclear - as the Greens do in Finland.

Dick Smithโs latest newspaper advertisement asks Australian Greens leader Mr Adam Bandt when he is going to follow the eminently sensible and rational decision of the Finland Green Party to support nuclear being part of the mix in Australia.
Here is a my new ad in The Australian today. Yes, there is a massive markup for big battery owners. No wonder renewables are so expensive. Isn't it time to consider nuclear?
A discussion paper said 72,000 Tesla batteries are needed for 1.5 days of storage costing $6.5 trillion! Even at half price it's unaffordable. 30+ countries use nuclear with 60 reactors being built. It's the reliable, proven & low cost way to provide emission free base load power
Here is a link to a really interesting documentary by former ABC journalist Chris Uhlmann on the difficulties we are going to have to get to net zero. Itโs a must view. https://t.co/lKW76CP6oB
Here is an interview I did earlier this year with Will Shackel from Nuclear for Australia. The video is just over 17 minutes long. https://t.co/Z4qlIh5j5l
Here's the latest ad running in The Australian, Daily Telegraph, Financial Review and Sydney Morning Herald this week. In a free democracy, nuclear should at least be considered.
"You are being conned" nuclear DOES lower power bills, Dr Adi Paterson, former CEO of ANSTO. "...low carbon nuclear electricity provides the cheapest to consumer costs and would transform our electricity grid..." See this ABC interview 11 mins 25 seconds https://t.co/mixDskfJTj
I've placed this ad in The Australian & AFR. Years ago I ran an ad re Australia needing to go to nuclear submarines. The Coalition changed its policy & had support from the opposition who I was told would not support nuclear submarines. Now we have to consider nuclear power.
Iโm pro-renewables but not when they destroy natural forest. These wind turbines are being built south west of Cairns, just 3 of the thousands of turbines we will need. With nuclear we may be able to have less damage to our forests and still keep a viable economy.
Iโm running ads in The Australian, Daily Telegraph and Sydney Morning Herald this week. I believe it's important our leaders tell us where we will end regarding population growth. Most people agree that we should have a plan. It will be interesting to see if we get any reaction.
Beware - another scam. A fake segment on ACA purports to show an interview with Ally Langdon, Gina Rinehart, Andrew Forrest & myself. It is totally fraudulent. The scammers made up the voice and lip synched to make it look genuine. Do not open it & do not send any money.
