Check out new updates to the Dickens Notes Project: transcriptions, editorial annotations, and a critical introduction to Dickens's Working Notes for David Copperfield. https://t.co/rGlwXbqG4X #Dickens
As the critical intro explains, the Copperfield Working Notes reveal Dickens's discipline as he managed this autobiographical novel's increasing complexity. Early retroactive notes give way to distinctly layered proactive notes as he worked towards his conclusion.
Have you checked out the marvelous work Anna Gibson and Adam Grener have done for @DickensNotes?
About BH they write, "the Working Notes also indicate that many of the chapter titles were conceived and added at a late stage in the compositional process."

I'm enjoying @DickensNotes "Bleak House" pages. They are so intuitive and informative. I especially love this non-textual marking that seems to connect the symbol on the memoranda side to the chapter note about Jo.
