@alangoldberg A pedagogy-led is an all inclusive approach. A tech-led creates barriers to adoption as it foregrounds tools at the expense of pedagogy. Ed (T&L with assessment) + Tech (tools) = Edtech and not TechEd.

We are at a cusp of a pedagogy led #edtech revolution. We have 3 indicators: 1) #educators, learners and parents pre-exposed to edtech potential during a pandemic; 2) an increase in improved edtech tools; 3) a ready generation that sees edtech as a norm. What an opportunity!

Today I have concluded a 4-day workshop on #onlineassessments and #onlineexaminations for academic staff at the University of Mauritius. Constructive alignment is not a once off activity, its like driving, you need to control a steering wheel to move in a straight direction.

You need to first succeed at what you do, then only do more of what you succeed at, and consistently reproduce the same success over time. This process takes time, demands focus, requires resilience, and has no short cuts.

@MaryFaragher Agreed. So our challenge is finding #edtech ideas to free up teachers’ time. Some #teachers might share how they have done this.

In #edtech we need 3 things, 1) ideas, 2) time and 3) resources. Even small ideas, requiring few resources, need time to work them. We don’t lack time and resources, though much emphasis is placed on them. For the challenges we face, ideas are seriously lacking.
