@dcsandbrook@bookclubpodhq Just listened, and I cannot believe that you missed the opportunity to say that the mutant you'd least like to come up against would be Virginia Woolf. Although a mutant looking like @holland_tom might be more likely as he is always saying how useless he would be in any battle
@TheSimonEvans Probably not, I did a physics degree in the UK and whilst no high flier myself there were people on the course that really struggled. But there were also a lot of amazingly bright people. Perhaps when the numbers taking courses in the past were lower the averages would be higher
@zatzi This is a silly argument, if they are just a tool then there is no problem with putting them down in the same way we kill millions of cows, pigs, lambs etc
@TheRestHistory I enjoyed learning that when neo finally negotiates the truce with our machine overlords. The fact that both human and machine speak English will be thanks to Alfred the Great!
@AdrianKirk46@EFischberger@grok Someone else asked the same question to you and grok gave a different answer. It is not a reliable way to get a true answer
@dcsandbrook@TheRestHistory@lijukic I was so outraged that I had to look up the recipe, learned how to make goulash and then threw it straight at the wall on my grandfather's behalf. Otherwise another enjoyable podcast listened to while walking the north Cornwall coastal path.
