Thank you to all our patients for your understanding around the difficulties we've faced since Friday's global IT "hiccup". All our staff worked their socks off to help those who needed us most, and your patience and recognition made it easier #Crowdstrike#GPsAreOnYourSide
Please be patient with our staff, and in particular our Receptionists. They are doing all they can to help, and are supported in identifying those who need a GP most urgently.

We will be closed Thurs 16 November from 1pm for staff training. Phone lines open again Friday morning as usual at 8.30, and doors at 8am.
If you need urgent medical advice during this time contact NHS 111 online or by phone. Call 999 if you have a life threatening emergency.
We're experiencing problems with our phones again this afternoon. If you call and it just rings with no recording playing and no options, please just hold on - one of our Medical Reception colleagues WILL answer you. Thank you!

If everyone who has been grateful for the NHS over the past 75 years followed and retweeted we’d reach a million by midnight.
Please take just two seconds to show you care.
The amber heat-health alert remains in place today.
If you get too hot today, heat exhaustion doesn't usually need emergency medical help if you can cool down within 30 minutes.

Good morning. We are experiencing exceptionally high demand this morning, and in addition there are national problems with our software, so booking appointments is extremely slow.
We thank you for your kindness towards our Receptionists who face an uphill battle this morning!

After 35 years of working for the NHS, today I retire as a GP partner from @DidcotHealthCen.
I will greatly miss my colleagues and my patients, but I am relieved to say goodbye to the unmanageable, unfunded demands currently being made on General Practice.

Like many other surgeries we are actively trying to recruit a new GP to join the practice. Sadly, there is a national shortage of GPs and our search remains ongoing.
In the meantime, please be assured that we will continue to meet your medical needs to the best of our ability 2/2
Please be advised that after 30 years as a GP in Didcot, Dr Caroline Yorston will be retiring from Didcot Health Centre as a Partner at the end of March. We wish her all the best for a very happy retirement. 1/2

Sadly we've had to cancel non-urgent appointments this evening. Please accept our apologies.
With all the negativity surrounding the NHS, it can be easy to forget the thousands and thousands of staff who continue to do everything they can to keep things going.
