This afternoon out EL Department offered a workshop for newcomer Spanish-speaking families. Parents were introduced to many resources and how to navigate our school system. @rafael_segarra

Kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with CUSD 201 with our BPAC’s Family Picnic. JR high Dual Language students led activities with the littles & families contributed copious amounts of food. Grateful for the community & district support!

Today, my co-teachers & I guided 27 K & 1st graders (& some WONDERFUL parents) through the steps to start their first @BookCreatorApp books! Three teachers on @zoom_us, 2 @padlet screencasts, and a little bit of patience is all it took to get them started. ❤️ Wow! @PalaciosClass
