A lot of fear and cowardice in the replies. Die a brutal death that will be remembered for a decade or bust a shameful nut in anonymity? Maybe it’s the Texan in me, but I’m going fisticuffs with the large mammal.
@timeforjeffrey I don’t think people actually realize how much money is bilked from lonely people online yearly, particularly from romance scams. Men are usually the victims, but women get victimized as well. This story is at least a 6 part Netflix series.
@sprrch@ehazzard@RealCandaceO She’s not going to fail. There will always be another tragedy for her to exploit and ,unfortunately, there will always be people willing to believe her.
@VoiceOfTheStar Or maybe what they’re showing is just the tip of the iceberg and they have some other jaw dropping cameos in store. That’s what I’m expecting anyways.
@VoiceOfTheStar I’m married with 2 kids. Love my family dearly. I go to the movies alone because it’s the only way I can actually watch the movie without bathroom breaks and endless questions about what’s going on or going to happen in the movie.
Found out rather recently that my white ass has an Eastern Cherokee ancestor, which does technically make me like less than 1 percent Cherokee. So, no, if I go back a couple of generations…I’m native. So no, not every American.
Hasan Piker on birthright citizenship: “Every American citizen that currently is a natural born US citizen is a couple generations removed from not being a US citizen that became a US citizen especially due to birthright. Go back far enough and every single American is the children of migrants”
Take a family road trip. Stay at campgrounds and eat sandwiches. Drink off brand soda. Stop at an H-E-B, a Trader Joe’s, a Publix. It’s summer. Take a well deserved vacation with your family and see the country. You’ll be glad you did.
I’m more focused on something else he said that I think is interesting. I love Texas, unequivocally. I’m Texan first and American second. That being said, I don’t hate other states. The states I’ve travelled to have all been spectacular in their own way.
Yeah, parts of Cali have a homelessness issue…it’s still a beautiful state with fantastic weather. Go to eccentric small towns. National Parks. State Parks. Landmarks. Golden Gate. Pikes Peak. Grand Canyon. Santa Fe. Fredericksburg. Vegas.
@JennyM64290 @Awk20000 I wouldn’t say weirdo, but someone cosplaying a character they created. I’m sure Carhartt would disagree with me, but seeing someone wear traditional work wear as a fashion statement is a bit cringey. Particularly when that person has never performed an hour of hard labor.
@ceejayyalt@BoofNewz It’s also not shocking that she would take this view…500k is a lot of pesos. If she was born there, she’s probably seen poverty on a scale that most Americans can’t fathom. That shit fucks with your psyche. Sex work also isn’t looked down on as much in The Philippines.
@danotastic@Chris__X__ Well, best is subjective, however Texas Monthly magazine says Burnt Bean BBQ in Seguin is the best. I’ve ate there, it is really good. Not sure from the clips if this is the Burnt Bean though.
I got asked this same question by a girl I was dating years ago. Only difference is that it was between her and my dog. I chose my dog because he doesn’t know what to do in case of a fire and she does. We broke up shortly thereafter. Extremely shortly thereafter.
@BaseddGhost@tj96111030@aktofl3690@michaeljknowles Nah…I was 39 and dating 24 year olds and I’m a 5 at best and middle class. If you’re a guy, which maybe you ain’t, but if you’re a guy….age doesn’t matter as much.
Would just make me cry harder. I’d start thinking about 2006, 2008, and 2011, the years would flow faster than the Amazon. The Amazon is the fastest flowing river in the world. @grok
