The plan was in motion, Winter. The neocon holdouts were destroyed in the primaries and SHOULD have been seated in January with Thune not being re-elected as Majority Leader. All of those hundreds of bills would have begun to flow like water through a burst dam.

This plan to make everyone's lives so incomprehensibly awful to MAYBE find a Galactic Mecha Hitler sounds great to those who can't see 2nd and 3rd order effects.

But what happened last night sealed America's fate. There are now enough state legislatures that will be held by the Communists to sign the National Popular Vote Compact, forever removing the electoral power of the less populous states.

The right wing no longer HAS a path to power via the ballot box if the Democrats follow through on their stated platform.

We're fucked because there are enough hypocrites harping on the Boomers for their greed, but are making the EXACT SAME short term decisions.

You're not wrong to be pissed about how the establishment GOP fought against the dying of their faction, how they held up the Epstein Files, how we got tied up in Iran, and how the subversive communists aren't swinging from trees or deported. I UNDERSTAND your rage.

The price of crude has continued to fall, precipitously, over the past few months.

By your logic: gas should be a lot cheaper than it is, back towards that $2/gallon range.

This midterm was easily in the bag for the GOP when you consider that America First candidates wiped the floor with establishment, John Thune/McConnell gargoyles in the primaries.

The entire agenda that was held up by the Senate would have started moving because Thune would NOT have been re-selected as Majority Leader.

Instead of pushing that idea, the rhetoric vacuum left by Charlie Kirk's public murder was filled with voices that were chanting "Israel, Israel, Israel" and espousing the fall of Trump because he wasn't Galactic Hitler.

It was Trump facilitating peace agreements across the globe, left and right.

It was Trump that realigned the world's energy demands to the Western hemisphere, and then became the de facto executive of those energy reserves.

It was Trump who secured trillions in foreign investment into America to re-develop pur manufacturing base so we would never be dependent on a foreign nation's products.

It was Trump that got NATO to start paying (more) of their fair share of the expenses.

It was Trump that decided to greenlight DOGE that would eventually lead to the dissolution of USAID.

I'm not sure if you've ever watched Survivor, but there's a strategy to create and maintain a larger threat than you in the eye's of your chief adversaries so you don't become a target. That's Israel in the Middle East, and Trump cut off US-funding to them, too.
