What was signalled yesterday is now confirmed by the Official Charts Company: the Official Albums Chart Update for 6–12 July 2026 places Confessions II at No. 1 in the UK, ahead of Sienna Spiro’s debut Visitor at No. 2 and Olivia Rodrigo at No. 3. Midweek numbers are a snapshot, not a verdict, but the trend is clear.

If the album holds on until Friday, it would be Madonna’s thirteenth UK No. 1 album — her first since MDNA in 2012, after Rebel Heart and Madame X were both kept off the top — and would tie her with Elvis Presley in fifth place for the most No. 1 albums in British chart history. Twenty-one years after Confessions on a Dance Floor topped the same chart, that would be not just a triumphant return, but a historic one.

Making the video for Hung Up was an incredibly joyful experience!! Not only because I was so excited about this record, but I had fallen off my horse 6 weeks before the shoot for the video.
I had broken 9 bones in my body, including my collarbone , shoulder blade, and 6 ribs.!!With many prayers and lots of rehab. I somehow managed to make a video that celebrates Dance!
I don’t even know how I lifted my left arm. Miracles do happen. 🙏🏼
