A5: I love the idea of having kids go through the library and using their own system to organize the books. Book recommendations are another great idea. It would be neat if students recommended their favorite book to the class, similar to show and tell. #qesreadstextsandreaders

#qesreadskids1st am very excited about the morning meetings book. It’s a great resource to help build a community in your classroom. It will set students up to know expectations and help them feel more comfortable to share information about themselves and their lives at home.

A5 Finding time to devote to this is so important! Once a teacher is familiar with the curriculum and reflects there are always lessons that stand out. These are the ones that don’t take as much time or you’ve found a better more engaging way to teach it! #qesreadskids1st

A3 Math needs choice! We used centers. My center was a review or preview of difficult topics. I can change center 1/2x a week to give the students choice on what skills they want to improve on. Could be based off of ind. or class goals the students set.

A2 One thing we learned and wanted to make better for the next was making the room more accessible to outside teachers and aids. I also loved the suggestion of making visuals and schedules with the students to help make the space feel more like their own. #qesreadskids1st

A2 Last year was the first year I worked in a coteach room. The room was set up well with materials easily accessible for students and teacher. Seating was flexible for students who needed different work environments . #qesreadskids1st
